12 Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
We read in the above scripture that God called Abram by his Soveregn will and told him to get out of his country and from around his kinfolk.
God then decreed and spoke to and over Abram SEVEN SPECIFIC BLESSINGS:
1)I WILL MAKE OF THEE A GREAT NATION
2)I WILL BLESS THEE
3)I WILL MAKE YOUR NAME GREAT
4)YOU SHALL BE A BLESSING
5)I WILL BLESS THOSE WHO BLESS YOU
6)I WILL CURSE THOSE WHO CURSE YOU
7)IN YOU SHALL ALL FAMILIES OF THE EARTH BE BLESSED
The BLESSING(SINGULAR) OF ABRAHAM is an "Endowment" which means to greatly prosper, have supernatural favor, success in all areas of life, spiritually, financially, physically, socially, mentally. Observe closely how the "blessings"(plural) manifested in Abraham's life in the following chapter:
13 And Abram went up out of Egypt, he, and his wife, and all that he had, and Lot with him, into the south.
2 And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold.
5 And Lot also, which went with Abram, had flocks, and herds, and tents.
6 And the land was not able to bear them, that they might dwell together: for their substance (riches, wealth)was great, so that they could not dwell together.
Lot was Abraham's nephew, but, observe how the "BLESSING" was upon Lot also from associating with Abram.
Consider, ponder, and reflect what the Wise Man King Solomon said:
20 He that walks with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.
This principle is known in our secular society as "The Law Of Association." "Birds of a feather flock together!" Be careful who you hang out with, listen to, talk to, because, either you are influencing them, or they are influencing you! The Blessing that was on Abram got on Lot. The "Anti-Prosperity cultists are "fools!" Why is that? Fighting against what God has already decreed as LAW is totally foolish!
GOD ENTERS INTO AND ESTABLISHES COVENANT WITH ABRAHAM
17 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.
2 And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.
3 And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying,
4 As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.
5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.
6 And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.
7 And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.
8 And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.
9 And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations.
10 This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.
11 And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you.
12 And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed.
13 He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.
14 And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant.
15 And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be.
16 And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her.
17 Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear?
18 And Abraham said unto God, O that Ishmael might live before thee!
19 And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.
20 And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.
21 But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year.
22 And he left off talking with him, and God went up from Abraham
God blessed Abram, and now he enters into and establishes a Covenant with him reiterating what he initially said in Genesis 12:1-3. He then emphasizes that he will also establish his covenant with Isaac with the same blessing, and the "BLESSING OF ABRAHAM" will continue with Abraham's seed in their generations! Isaac now begins to reap the blessings of the covenant:
Genesis 26:1-3, 12-14
26 And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar.
2 And the Lord appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of:
3 Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I swore unto Abraham thy father;
12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him.
13 And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great:
14 For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines(The Anti-Prosperity Cultists) envied him.
(Here is the real reason behind the "Anti-Prosperity" cultists hatred of what they call the "Prosperity Gospel":
"They are actually envious and jealous; otherwise, why make noise and static over something you don't believe in????")
Jacob and Esau were both beneficiaries of the "Blessing Of Abraham-The Abraham Covenant."
6 And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the persons of his house, and his cattle, and all his beasts, and all his substance, which he had got in the land of Canaan; and went into the country from the face of his brother Jacob.
7 For their riches were more than that they might dwell together; and the land wherein they were strangers could not bear them because of their cattle.
THE BLESSING OF ABRAHAM MANIFESTED BLESSINGS AND FAVORS FOR JOSEPH. Even though he was a prisoner, the blessing caused him to prosper and eventually become Prime Minister of Egypt!
Genesis 39:1-6, 20-23
39 And Joseph was brought down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him of the hands of the Ishmeelites, which had brought him down thither.
2 And the Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.
3 And his master saw that the Lord was with him, and that the Lord made all that he did to prosper in his hand.
4 And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand.
5 And it came to pass from the time that he had made him overseer in his house, and over all that he had, that the Lord blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; and the blessing of the Lord was upon all that he had in the house, and in the field.
6 And he left all that he had in Joseph's hand; and he knew not ought he had, save the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was a goodly person, and well favored.
20 And Joseph's master took him, and put him into the prison, a place where the king's prisoners were bound: and he was there in the prison.
21 But the Lord was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison.
22 And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph's hand all the prisoners that were in the prison; and whatsoever they did there, he was the doer of it.
23 The keeper of the prison looked not to any thing that was under his hand; because the Lord was with him, and that which he did, the Lord made it to prosper
What God wants you to know and never, ever forget is: We have, you have, I have the same "Blessing Of Abraham", and the same "Covenant" that he entered into with Abraham is in effect today, and forever with the same "Blessings of Health, Wealth, Success, Favor, Protection", as God doesn't change, and God is no respecter of persons(Malachi 3:6, Acts 10:34), but, you must "first" have a "Personal" relationship with God through Jesus Christ! The price has been paid and the Covenant has been "ratified" with the "BLOOD OF JESUS!"
19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
21 And having an high priest over the house of God;
22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
The "BLESSING" of Abraham is an endowment, a mantle. Are you wearing the "BLESSING and experiencing the blessings of health, wealth, success, favor, and spiritual growth......BECAUSE......
Galatians 3:6-9, 13-14,26-29
6 Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.
7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.
8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.
9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.
13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangs on a tree:
14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
